My Paintings

In March 2015, I realized a long-hoped for goal - I started painting. I had dabbled as a graduate students but until recently I never had the time. All that changed when I retired but it took some time to get my act together. Then, during a visit to a Sunday craft fair in St. Petersburg Florida, we happened upon a display booth where Robert J. Simone (http://robertjsimone.com/) was exhibiting a few paintings and working on a new painting. I loved the style, called Plein Air, which means "outdoors" in French. We talked and soon I was signing up for classes. We we returned to Manhasset, I found Plein Air classes were just a few miles away at the Cow Neck Historic Society's historic site, The Sands - Willets House, with Larry Chrapliwy of Cow Neck Painters (http://www.cowneckpainters.com/). I hope you enjoy my paintings. Remember, I am still learning and it is a steep learning curve. Still life appears to be my forte but I am working on improving the landscapes.
